world of warcraft action figures
March 7th, 2010 by moonwalker | Filed under General Interest.Collectors are available in all stripes, consumers that genuinely have a very good love for the purpose they are making collections, those that just love the chase of having the ability to complete a collection, and people that hope their investment will one day completely pay down. One doesn’t have to be among the enormous players of Warcraft to collect its toys. The younger collectors though, or the young at heart, may have a hard time resisting the urge taking the warcraft action figures with their box. The slightly older players may also obtain the warcraft action figures reminiscent of He-Man figures sold while in the 80’s.
You’ll find four main companies that started manufacturing warcraft figures since Warcraft II. These are Blizzard Entertainment, Toycom, Visionary (SOTA), and DC Direct (of DC Comics). Away from these companies, DC Direct has produced the most important line of figures, twenty five miniatures including deluxe action figures, through 2009.
Blizzard, the organization behind World of Warcraft, or WoW has only produced 5 miniatures. They’re Human Footman, Orc Grunt, Malfurion Stormrage, Muradin Bronzebeard, and Thrall.
Toycom has produced six figures all from Warcraft 3. SOTA produced only 3 figures that happen to be: Tauren Shaman, Undead Warlock, and Jungle Troll Voodoo Priest.
DC Direct released its first compilation of warcraft action figures in 2007. This first series was comprised of Meryl Felstorm: Undead Warrior, Rehgar Earthfury: Orc Shaman, Valeera Sanguinar: Blood Elf Rogue, plus a deluxe figure, Illidan Stormrage: Night Elf Demon Hunter. DC has released five series in the time of the end of 2009.
As Steve Carell’s character, Andy, proved in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, developing a mint toy collection generally is a nice investment. Those not really acquainted with WoW, but trying to find the next “hot” collectible, may want to look into these wow action figures because WoW is a Guinness World Record holding massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), holding the record for some subscribers, over 11 million. With many followers worldwide it’s likely an industry will exist in the foreseeable future for all those collectors who could actually purchase the warcraft action figures now and keep them. And unlike the He-Man figures these WoW action figures are not currently being mass produced and sold in retail outlets.
